The project “Earth Beamer” stems from investigating the potential emergence of more-than-human cinemas. A light is conducted through the interior of a rose quartz crystal. Thanks to a chain of optics, the light is focused on the crystal and projected as an image. Its functioning is analogous to cinema projectors, however, instead of a film, the light projects the interior of a moving transluscent quarz, whose solid and subterranean condition is elevated to a quasi-cosmic instance. The projector could be considered a cinematographic apparatus and the projected image would be a silent film; a film without film -without celluloid- that amplifies the notion of the cosmos as cinema.

El proyecto Earth Beamer nace de indagar la potencial emergencia de cines más-que-humanos. Una luz es conducida a través del interior de un cristal de cuarzo. Gracias a la cadena de ópticas, la luz es enfocada y proyectada como imagen. Su funcionamiento es análogo a los proyectores de cine, sin embargo, en lugar de una película, la luz proyecta el interior de un cristal de cuarzo en movimiento, cuya condición sólida y subterránea se eleva a una instancia aerea cuasi cósmica. El proyector podría considerarse un aparato cinematográfico y la imagen proyectada vendría a ser una película silente. Una película sin película -sin celuloide- que amplifica la noción del cosmos como cine.
